Terms of Use

Last updated October 22, 2026. Applies to the browser-based service from publication.

These terms describe use of NC License Prep, LLC’s public website, nclicenseprep.com, and browser-based learning service, learn.nclicenseprep.com. Read them before purchasing course access. They should be made available during registration and enrollment.

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian’s permission to use the service and make purchases. Provide accurate registration information, maintain access to your email address, and keep your login credentials private. Each enrollment is for one learner. Contact support if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

2. What the course provides

We provide independent North Carolina driver’s permit test preparation through study chapters, practice quizzes, and three mock exams in the selected English or Spanish course. The service is educational preparation, not the official DMV exam, a driver’s license, or a government-issued qualification. We are not affiliated with the North Carolina DMV. We do not guarantee an official test score, a passing result, or receipt of a permit or license. Badges recognize course achievements only.

3. Prices and paid access

Both options include the same content within the selected course. English and Spanish are separate courses. A purchase covers the course and duration selected at checkout. Each purchase is a one-time payment, not a recurring subscription. Review the total and any applicable taxes or discounts before paying.

Your access starts immediately after successful payment and lasts for 3 days or 7 days, depending on the option purchased. The access period runs continuously, including time when you are not using the course; it does not wait until you first open the course.

Access is provided through your Moodle account. Course access ends when the purchased enrollment expires. Expiration does not automatically delete your account or all related records. Do not assume that purchasing access again restores previous quiz history, completion, or progress; contact support if retaining earlier records is important to you.

4. Checkout and delivery

Checkout takes place through the learning site using Stripe. You do not need to install a mobile app. You need an internet connection, a supported web browser, and access to the email address used for registration. Complete any required email confirmation steps. If payment succeeds but the course does not open, contact support@nclicenseprep.com with your account email and payment reference. Do not send full card details.

5. Refunds and purchase problems

We refund duplicate charges for the same purchase and purchases affected by an access problem we cannot resolve. Please contact us so we can investigate and try to restore access. Except for these situations or where required by applicable law, purchases are non-refundable after course access begins. Choosing not to study, not finishing the course during the purchased access period, or not passing an official exam does not qualify for a refund after access begins.

To request a refund or report a purchase problem, email support@nclicenseprep.com with your account email, transaction reference, and a description of the problem. Do not send full payment-card details. Requests made before access begins will be reviewed by support; this policy does not promise an automatic pre-access refund. Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.

6. Acceptable use and course materials

We grant you limited, personal, non-commercial access to the purchased course during your enrollment. Do not share accounts, resell access, distribute course questions or answer collections, scrape or bulk-copy content, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or use it unlawfully. These restrictions do not limit uses permitted by applicable law. Rights in course content and website materials remain with their respective owners.

7. Availability and changes

Content may be updated, and maintenance or technical problems may temporarily interrupt access. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. If a service problem materially prevents you from using purchased access, contact support for assistance under the applicable refund policy and your legal rights. Check current official North Carolina DMV resources for test requirements and rules.

8. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend accounts to investigate suspected unauthorized use, security issues, fraud, or material violations of these terms. We may terminate access for material violations, subject to applicable law. Enrollment also ends when the purchased access period expires. Suspension does not remove any rights you have under applicable law.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account, learning, transaction, and technical information. Course expiration and personal-data deletion are separate processes.

10. Disclaimers and legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of exam success or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms are governed by North Carolina law, except where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.

11. Updates and contact
